Description

Abala, Niger: Preparation of millet flour. The grain is crushed in the wooden bowls with a heavy wooden stick. When the flour is of desired consistency, it will be carefully lifted from the bowl and exposed to the wind to remove chaff.
Host/Plant: Pearl Millet (Pennisetum glaucum)
