The effect of information technology industry certification on the certificate holder(s) is unclear. This study focuses on how obtaining industry certification affects students’ ability to succeed in college and obtain gainful employment. Supporting this study is a body of reviewed literature that shares the research, discussions, and stakeholders supporting industry certification through CTE programs.
