dc.description.abstract | It is important that we know as much as possible about the carrying capacity of our bluestem pastures. Cattlemen in general are interested in obtaining as much gain possible from their grass in keeping with sound management. They would like to know whether there is any method of increasing the safe stocking load and maintaining gain as well as grass. Also the effect of such increase on forage species, stand and vigor, and weed population. | en_US |
