Description
Soybean is a multi-purpose crop, an important source of protein in food for humans and has many industrial uses and medic inal values. In addition, it plays a very important rol e in maintaining the balance of the energy in human ecosystems. Therefore, many countries are involved in soybean production. The United Nations established the International Soybean Program (INTSOY) to support the research, education and development of so ybeans.
