Description
Corn stunt is vectored by several leafhoppers. The spiroplasma overwinters in the gut of leafhoppers. Spiroplasmas are cultured on defined media. They are facultative anaerobes, lacks a true cell wall and are motile. Doubly infected with maize rayado fino virus.
