Causal agent: Ooze from bacterial ring rot infected tuber that was gram-stained. Violet cells are gram positive and a positive presumptive test for the bacteria that incite bacterial ring rot.
Host/Plant: Potato (Solanum tuberosum subsp. tuberosum)
Pest/Path: Bacterial Ring Rot (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. sepedonicus)
