Human skills, especially communication, are highly sought-after traits in employees. They are also some of the most elusive traits that organizations struggle to find. While communication skills are in use every day, practice must continue to occur to see improvement. This report looks at the need for communication training within organizations through continued professional development. While many models exist for communication training, many do not incorporate the appropriate methods for helping adults learn. Using assumptions and principles from the theory of andragogy, coupled with the GROW model for coaching, a business model emerges that focuses on the adult learner. Participants will use their desire to drive the process with the facilitator about specific knowledge, skills, or training. Learners will then use that knowledge to apply to experiences within their life and set goals to begin using their new skills. Through one-on-one coaching sessions, adult learners will guide their journey to learning how to practice and become better communicators.en_US
