Abstract
Description
Maize dwarf virus caused widespread damage to corn and sorghum in the 1960's and 70's. A high incidence and severity are noted in this corn field. Most hybrids are resistant to MDMV. A major gene, mdm1, located on chromosome 6 is primarily responsible.
