Abstract

Description

Hybrids show genetic variability to charcoal rot. Hybrid on left had only 1% of plants lodge whereas adjacent hybrid had 35%. Charcoal rot is favored by dry and hot conditions.
Host/Plant: Corn (Zea mays) and other crops including sorghum and soybean
Pest/Path: Charcoal Rot (Macrophomina phaseolina)
