dc.description.abstract A rigorous theory of electromagnetic (EM) wave scattering by one and many perfectly conducting small bodies of an arbitrary shape is developed. Equation for the effective field is derived in amedium in which many small particles are distributed. A method is given to change the refraction coefficient of a given medium in a desired direction by embedding into this mediummany small particles. en_US
